Easy to install and super sturdy. Exactly as described.
I definitely recommend two people to install it, but overall it's easy to install.
I used two 2x4x8', screwed them on all studs along the length, then installed the rack on it.
It's very sturdy. It's rated for 800lbs which is likely more than I'll ever need, and so far the weights I put on it haven't shown any signs that the rack has trouble holding them.
As to the rack itself, it's great. Lots of options for the J-hooks height. The pull-up bar can be put lower if you want.
I bought two Ironax spotter arms for my bench and they fit nicely, even thought they say that they are only compatible with XPX racks.
The item is excellent! Both my wife and I use it all the time. We've even got our kids trying to do pull ups! It opens up smoothly and tucks away nicely. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a good work out area, but has limited space.
Used a 2x8 on the bottom across 3 studs and a 2x10 across the top. Sturdy and easy to assemble. Numbers are nice for matching sides with spotter arms etc. note you will want to wedges or something similar if used on a sloped garage. Doesn’t take up a lot of space even when extended.
Great addition to my little home gym. Not sure how often I will actually fold the posts in, but the option is there if I need it. Fairly easy to install. Had to go purchase some different lag screws, but other than that it was pretty simple. Garage floor is a little uneven so will have to use a shim under one post. Would be nice if there was a video of how this specific rack is installed. But there are plenty of similar rack installation videos on YouTube. Just not this Ironax specific one.
