Verify the actual weight on the heavy ones
I have the entire set right up to 120lbs. However, I found that after the 85 pounders they start becoming wildly inaccurate. All of my (same) dumbbells up to 85 lbs are within 0.5 of a pound of their advertised weight. However, above 85 lbs some aren't even close. The 100's are 96.2 and 95.8 lbs. My 110's were the worst at 102.3 and 104.0 lbs. So much so that I actually went back and spent the time going through several to find actual 110's. Oddly enough, my 115's and 120's are within 0.2 of a pound advertised. It seems to be the 90, 95, 100, 100 and 110's that aren't even close. Overall the dumbbells are great though, I've been using them 4 days a week for 1.7 years now, and other than cleaning (with a nylon stiff bristle brush and CLP) every 6 months they are strong, sturdy, reliable and maintenance free. I take care of my gym stuff, so I do not throw my dumbbells around. Yes, I have on occasion set them down hard. No complaints, especially for the price when on sale. I have never been a fan of adjustable dumbbells as they clack and bang and often aren't even close to the supposed weight. Plus, having individual dumbbell sets allows me to transition very quickly during supersets, and dropset training. I do highly recommend these, just bring a calibrated scale with you when you pick up the heavier weights as most don't seem to be close to the advertised weight.
